The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Moroccan match officials for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) quarterfinal clash between Nigeria’s Super Eagles and South Africa.
Redouane Jiayed was named as the centre referee and will be assisted by compatriots Lahcen Azagaou ( Assistant Referee 1) and Mustapha Akarkad ( Assistant Referee 2).
Seychelles Benjamin Camille will serve as 4th officials while Issa Yaya will work as 5th official.
Meanwhile, Video Assistant Referee (VAR) will make its debut in quarter final of the competition, precisely in the first match between Squirrels of Benin and Teranga Lion of Senegal today.
African Football governing body named France’s Milliot Benoit as VAR referee for Nigeria versus South Africa clash.
He will be assisted by Janny Sikazwe (Zambia) and Hadji Malik Samba (Senegal).
The Super Eagles match against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa will come under spotlight at the Cairo international stadium, in Egypt and will Kickoff 8pm Nigerian time.
