Para-Soccer Polio Tourney: Kastina, Kano In Heavyweight Final Showdown

The Two northwest states giants Kano and Kastina will today lock horns at the final of the 2019 edition of World polio Para-Soccer tournament inside Old parade ground Area 10 Abuja.

Kastina dumped Kaduna in the semi-final match 1-0 in a penalty shot out to book the final ticket.

While Kano State defeated North Central giant Nasarawa 3-2 to book their final ticket.


Speaking ahead of the Final, the Kastina Para-Soccer Head Coach Huwal Bawa, expressed optimism that his team will leave no stone unturned to ensure they emerge the winner.


According to him, I pray to God to help me, its not my power but the grace of God. I will win the trophy, my players are ready and by the grace of God Kastina will win the trophy I don’t have doubt, God will do it everything for us come tomorrow.


On his parts, Head coach of Nigeria Para soccer team and coach of Kano state Ibrahim Musa said” l am going back to Kano with the cup, this is not the first time I am beating Kastina and by God grace I will still beat them, we have won this tournament for the 4th time and we are ready to increase the tally by winning this edition.”


However, the third-place game between Kaduna and Nasarawa state will start by 2:00 pm while the final game will come up by 4:00 pminside the old parade ground in Abuja.
