FCTUP Awards: Sportswaka Emerges Online Football Medium Of The Year

Sportswaka.com has emerged the Best Online Football Medium of the Year at the FCT Football Update Platform 2019 Awards.

The Award ceremony which was held via the online platform on Monday, was witnessed by Nigeria’s sporting stakeholders.

After series of screening, Sportswaka.com defeated other top mediums to pick the ultimate prize in grand style.

While reacting to the award, the Publisher of Sportswaka.com Olawale Ayeni, reaffirmed the medium’s commitment in fostering the development of sports in the FCT and the nation at large while commending the organizers for the prestigious award.

“ I want to commend the organizers of the award for appreciating the little efforts of Sportswaka.com in reporting sports in the country”.

“This award will further encourage us to do more in the coming year, our doors are always open to advice and construction criticism as we seek to serve Nigerians with credible news stories, analysis and agenda setting aim at developing the round leather game and sports in generally in the country” he concluded.

Meanwhile, Coordinator of the Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Bauchi State FA Chairman, Pascal Patrick won the Legendary Award, while Chairman, Ogun State FA and Executive Board Member, Nigeria Football Federation, Alhaji Ganiyu Majekodunmi, was also named the Administrator of the year.

Jimoh Oni was crowned the footballer of the year, as Hannah Elaigwu (FIFA) picked the Referee of the year award.

The duo of Bilikisu Tijani and Tope Bulus won the best female and male coach categories respectively.

Best Gender Sensitive Administrator of the year, went to Dr (Mrs) Uwem Asomugba, the Proprietor and Chairman of Conqueror Football Academy, Abuja.

Dare Kuti, also emerged the best Sports Federation Journalist of the year, as Mr Patrick Ngwaogu won the Most Resource Personality of the year.

FAME foundation was named the best NGO Charity Group.

The duo of Olaoluwa Aro and Udeme George were handed the Most Active and Controversial member of the year respectively.

The Posthomous award was given to Former Shooting star captain, Secretary of NFF, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi, who passed on earlier in the year.
