Bauchi FA Commends Gov. Mohammed Over Ramat Cup Success

The Bauchi State Football Assocation (BSFA) has commended the Bauchi State Governor, His Excellency (Senator) Bala Mohammed, over the success recorded by the state’s football U-16 at the just concluded 2020 Ramat International Cup in Kano state.

The Bauchi U-16 team narrowly missed out to be crowned champions of the 37th edition of the Ramat cup following their 0-1 loss to Kwara state to pick the Sliver medal.

Bauchi state was the good side against Rivers state in the semifinals as they triumphed 4-2, in penalties after they played a 1-1 draw in normal time.

Chairman of Bauchi FA, Patrick Pascal,MON ascribed the team’s successful campaign to the support of the state government led my governor Bala Mohammed, and chairperson Bauchi State Orphans and Vulnerable Children Agency (BASOVCA) Mrs Hassan Arkila, while reaffirming his commitment alongside the FA members in developing grassroots sports in the Pearl of Tourism as they seek to place the state in the world map in terms of football development.

“We want to thank our sports-loving governor Senator, Bala Mohammed, for supporting the team at the Ramat Cup to pick the silver medal, it shows there is a rebirth in-term of grassroots sports development in the state”he said.

The Bauchi state FA boss who doubles as the Super Eagles Cordinator stated that the team would be out in search of the title in the next edition.

“The Bauchi FA will continue to improve on grassroots development, hopefully we should win the title by God grace in the 38th edition next year, because we have learnt a lot from the competition and we have mapped out plans to achieve our set goals” he concluded.

It would be noted that the Ramat International Cup is organised by the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria,(YSFON).
