The Bauchi State Football Association (BSFA) on Wednesday commiserated with Kano State FA and Kano Pillars over the death Pillars Team Manager, Kabiru Baleria who died on Tuesday aged 57 after a brief illness.
The condolence was conveyed by the Chairman of Bauchi State FA, Patrick Pascal, MON.
Pascal urged family and loved ones to find solace in God, he also prayed God to grant Baleria’s soul eternal rest and comfort his family.
“We at the Bauchi state FA and all the stakeholders in the state received the news of the death of Kabiru Baleria with a heavy heart. It is very touching to lose such a Team Manager for many years. May God grant, Kano Pillars and Kano State FA under the leadership of Alhaji Inuwa Ahlan the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
The Bauchi state FA boss who doubles as the Super Eagles Cordinator ‘‘May God grant his family the strength to absorb the impact of this death, forgive his shortcomings and reward his good deeds in the hereafter,” he said.
It would be recalled that Kabiru Baleria was a former White Eagle’s player, he also played for the Golden Stars, El kanemi Warriors of Borno, later joined Canon Sportif of Cameroon, before playing for Kano Pillars.
The former Flying Eagles player also plied his trade in the Saudi Arabian League, went for trials in Spain with Deportivo La Coruna in 1989.
He was an assistant coach to Nigeria Under 17 team under Coach Emmanuel Amuneke. He coached Kano Pillars where he later served as the substantive Team Manager of the team.
