The Bauchi State Football Association (BAFA) have joined millions of Nigeria across the world in mourning the death of Nasarawa United defender, Chineme Martins who slumped and died during the matchday 23 of the NPFL match against Katsina United on Sunday.

Condolences which was conveyed by the Chairman of Bauchi State FA, Patrick Pascal, MON.
The ugly incident occurred after Martin collided with Katsina United player in the middle of the park and landed awkwardly in Solid Miners 3-0 victory over Kastina.
Pascal urged family and entire football fraternity to find solace in God, he also prayed God to grant Martins soul eternal rest and comfort his family.
“We at the Bauchi state FA and all the stakeholders in the state received the news of the death of Chineme Martins with a heavy heart. It is very touching to lose such a defender for many years. May God grant, Nasarawa United and Nasarawa State FA the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
The Bauchi state FA boss who doubles as the Super Eagles Cordinator said ‘‘May God grant his family the strength to absorb the impact of this death, forgive his shortcomings and reward his good deeds in the life after,” he said.
