The president and founder of the Authentic Nigeria Supporters Club, Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi has advised the Nigeria Football Federation to adjust their various programmes to fall in line with that of CAF and FIFA immediately the Coronavirus pandemic is over.
Prince Ogunjimi, who spoke at the online Personality Interview of the popular “FCT Football Update WhatsApp Group” said with the present trend, the world over, that the NFF does not have control over anything, instead they can only readjust themselves with the world order.
“We expect them to evaluate their programmes for the year and see where requires adjustment, that will be after they have count their losses, which no doubt will over weigh the gains”.
The Supporters Club boss said the effects of the pandemic world over, cannot be over emphasised “It has already affected the world economy, which football is not an exemption. Our Nigeria football has had it’s own share.
We cannot easily forget the the ugly side of this pandemic on our teams like the death of Ifeanyi George of Rangers, kidnapping of Dayo Ojo of Enyimba, the shooting of Charles Tambe of Abia Warriors among others. These are incidents that could have been avoided if not for the pandemic”.
He further advised the NFF to ensure that the health situation of all major participants are ascertain before the game can fully commence in the country.
“It has slowed down our developmental plans in country, and we should ensure everything is perfect before we resume”.
