Bauchi State Football Association has hailed President Muhammadu Buhari, over the appointment of former Super Eagles forward Daniel Amokachi aka ‘Da Bull’ as the special assistant on sports.
According to the letter of appointment dated August 17th 2020 and signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha , stated ” I am pleased to inform you that Muhammadu Buhari, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has approved your appointment as Special Assistant on Sports. The appointment takes effect from the 11th of August, 2020.”

In a statement signed by the Bauchi state FA Chairman, Patrick Pascal stated that the appointment of the former Super Eagles assistant coach is well deserved following his great contributions to the country’s sporting sector over the years in various capacities.
“We at the Bauchi State FA and stakeholders felicitate with Daniel Amokachi over his appointment as the special assistant on sports to the president ”.
“ We know that your great contributions to Nigerian football and your wealth of experience will be put to bear to influence the government policies and repositioning the sector to international best standards ”.
Pascal who doubles as the Super Eagles coordinator said the appointment is a right step in the right direction while calling on stakeholders to support the former Everton of England forward in his new position.
“Right from our active days representing Nigeria, I know that Amokachi can deliver anytime his called upon for any task, so I encourage Nigerians to give him the necessary support in moving the country’s sports sector forward”.
