Teqball Federation Mourns As Gumel Loses Wife

The Nigeria Teqball Federation, NIGTEQ has expressed sadness over the death of the wife of its president Mrs Habu Gumel.

Late Mrs Gumel was the wife of NIGTEQ President, Engr. Habu Ahmed Gumel. She died in Abuja on Tuesday October 20, 2020

The Executive Committee members of the Federation expressed shock and deep sadness over the death of Hadjia Gumel.

In a condolence message issued in Abuja Tuesday, the General Secretary of the federation,said the Secretariat is devastated over the passing of Mrs Gumel.

Declaring that late Mrs Gumel was supportive of her husband as well as the Nigeria Teqball family until her death, the scribe notes that the federation has been thrown into deep mourning.

“The NIGTEQ Secretariat is devastated at the moment since the receipt of the sad news of the passing on of the wife of President who also serves as the President of Nigeria Olympic Committee, FIVB Vice-President, Confederation of African Volleyball and members, International Olympic Committee. Late Hadjia Gumel passed on today, (Tuesday) October 20, 2020 in Abuja.

“Late Hadjia Gumel was very supportive and open minded in our move towards establishing the Teqball Federation in Nigeria

“The entire federation and State Association are are indeed in a mourning mood at the moment with our president and the entire Gumel’s family, we will continue to pray for God to give us the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable lost. May her soul rest in peace”

Hajia Ladi Habu Ahmed, aged 61, was a beloved and caring mother who died of a protracted illness.

She is survived by the husband, Engr Habu Ahmed Gumel and four lovely children and has since been laid to rest according to Islamic rites.

May her beloved soul rest in peace.
