The Bauchi State Football Association (BAFA) has joined Nigerians all over the world in mourning the death of Member of the Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and coordinator for the South-South zone and also Chairman of Akwa Ibom FA Chairman, Emmanuel Ibah, 61.
In a statement signed by the Chairman of Bauchi State FA, Patrick Pascal, MON, described the death as a huge loss to not just his family, but the entire Nigerian football fraternity.
The Bauchi state FA boss, noted that Ibah, has contributed greatly to the development of the round leather game at the grassroot adding is fatherly advice would be missed by many.
Pascal urged families and entire football fraternity to find solace in God, he also prayed God to grant Emmanuel Ibah soul eternal rest and comfort his family.
“We at the Bauchi state FA and all the stakeholders in the state received the news of the death of Emmanuel Ibah with a heavy heart. May God grant his family the strength to absorb the impact of this death, forgive his shortcomings and reward his good deeds in the life after,” he said.
“Late Ibah was very close friend, a vibrate administrator, we shared ideas on how best to develop grassroots football, it so sad that we lost him.”
The Bauchi state FA boss who doubles as the Super Eagles Coordinator said: “this is a monumental loss, his leadership qualities were never in doubt”.
Mr Ibah’s death on Tuesday morning made him the third member of the NFF Executive Committee and the fourth key figure in the NFF to pass away this year.
