Golf: Oladapo, Francis Conferment Kitty Set For May 22

No fewer than 100 golfers are expected to compete for honours at the Conferment Kitty of the FCT Golf Association’s Chariman, Engr Oladapo Olaide Mohammmed (Olooye) and Engr Abdulai Adebayo Francis.

The Conferment Kitty which is parts of activities to celebrate Engr Oladapo and Engr Francis over the their election as fellow by the Nigerian Society of Engineers would take centre stage at the IBB Golf and Country Club in Abuja on Saturday May 22, 2020.

The competition would see men, women and veterans battle at the IBB green course for the ultimate prizes.


While speaking ahead of the kitty, the FCT Golf Boss Oladapo, said that preparation to host a successful events are in top gear and also inline with COVID-19 protocols.

“The kitty is just to bring people together and compete among ourselves and to thank Allah for taking us this far, we know that the COVID-19 pandemic have kept most of us away from the golf course.

“We have mouthwatering prizes to be given to the winners in all the categories and also consolation prizes for best endeavors, so I encourage golfers to turn up in their number so we can have a good time where we will also dine and unwind after the kitty”.

“Also we are going to observe all the COVID-19 protocols strictly to ensure the safety of all the golfers and officials during the one day kitty” he concluded.
