NFF Executive Committee Member and Chairman Nigeria Beach Soccer Association Hon. Suleiman Yahaya-Kwande, has expressed delight at the magnificent Beach Soccer pitch inside the newly refurbished Muritala Square in Kaduna State.
Speaking on the final phase of the inaugural Nigeria Beach Soccer League tag the “SUPER 4” the former Chairman of the NFF Beach Soccer Committee said the facility has shown that Beach Soccer has come to stay in Nigeria.
According to him, ” I have always been a beach Soccer person and with the facility that the Kaduna state government has provided for Beach Soccer I know other state governments will emulate what Governor El-Rufai has done creating a permanent Beach Soccer pitch here in the state, and now with the talent, I have seen I believe Beach Soccer has a great future in the country.
Excited, a former member of the House of Representatives said. “We are going to have a national team I am impressed with what I am seeing, President of African Beach Soccer Mahmud Hadejia has assured me they are going to pick the best out of the tournament so we can see if we are going to have a formidable national team from here. I am very proud that we are having a league in my time and I must say Kudos to Mahmud and his secretary Taiye Olajide for their never tiring drive to see that Beach Soccer grows in the country” he said.
Four teams, Kwara Beach Soccer Club, Kebbi Beach Soccer Club, Kada Beach Soccer Club Smart City Beach Soccer Club, are all in the race to be crowned the maiden champion of the league.
